Our Twelfth Step — carrying the message — is the basic service that the A.A. Fellowship gives; this is our principal aim and the main reason for our existence. Therefore, A.A. is more than a set of principles; it is a society of alcoholics in action. We must carry the message, else we ourselves can wither and those who haven’t been given the truth may die.

Changes to Local Groups/Meetings and New Meetings
Download a Group or GSR Change Form
Please keep the Service Structure aware of any changes to your group to help ensure fellowship, unity, and communication. This also helps ensure that new GSRs are added to the Virginia Area and GSO mailing lists. If your group has a new GSR or if it has changed meeting date, venue, or meeting type, please fill out this form and return at the next District meeting or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your meeting has a temporary change, such as the meeting will be closed for one day only, please be sure that the hotline is aware of the change.
GSRs and DCMs/ADCMs should also ensure that their meeting information is up to date on the VAC website at aavirginia.org.
