District Service

Our Twelfth Step — carrying the message — is the basic service that the A.A. Fellowship gives; this is our principal aim and the main reason for our existence.
Therefore, A.A. is more than a set of principles; it is a society of alcoholics in action. We must carry the message, else we ourselves can wither and those who haven’t been given the truth may die.
(from A.A.’s Legacy of Service by Bill W.)

This page has ways to get involved and stay connected with AA General Service.

New Meetings and Group/Meeting Changes

Submit changes to District 30 meetings with this online form

New GSR form or to be added to District 30 contact email list

Please keep the Service Structure aware of any changes to your group to help ensure fellowship, unity, and communication. This also helps ensure that new GSRs are added to the Virginia Area and GSO mailing lists.

If you have questions about where to send the form, please ask an officer at the next District meeting, or contact us via email here.

If your meeting has a temporary change, such as the meeting will be closed for one day only, please be sure that the Hotline and Website is aware of the change.
GSRs and DCMs/ADCMs should also ensure that their meeting information is up to date on the VAC website at aavirginia.org.
